An act of sheer brutality and oppression. The Human Rights Council of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa strongly condemns the devastating drone attack in Katlang, Mardan, where precious lives were ruthlessly taken, leaving behind a trail of grief and despair. Such violations of our sovereignty and loss of innocent lives are unacceptable and have left an indelible scar on our collective conscience.
We stand in solidarity with the grieving families in this moment of unimaginable pain, sharing their sorrow and offering what little comfort we can. The thought of innocent women and children losing their lives in this brutal attack is a tragedy that words cannot express.
Reports from Katlang Shamozai area of Mardan speak of a heartbreaking in which around 9 people, including innocent women and children, are said to have lost their lives. The locals claim the victims were shepherds, innocent civilians who were merely trying to eke out a living in a region already ravaged by conflict.
The fact that no official statement has been made, leaving the families and loved ones of the victims with more questions than answers. We demand justice for the victims and their families and will continue to advocate for their rights and dignity. We will not rest until those responsible are held accountable and the families receive the closure they deserve.
