"She Came Again Last Night"
She came again last night, so still,
A whisper soft, the midnight chill.
Her touch like wind on window glass,
A moment born, too soon to pass.
She kissed my brow, her fingers light,
Like stars that drift through velvet night.
No words she spoke, yet I could feel
The way she came to help me heal.
She soothed my fears, my aching chest,
A ghost in love, who couldn't rest.
Though time has pulled her far from me,
Her soul still sails my memory.
She’s gone — I know, I see the day,
But dreams don’t care what death may say.
She lingers where the shadows fall,
Half real, half not, yet more than all.
So let her come, though she can’t stay,
A breath of love that fades by day.
For in the silence of my sleep,
She gives me back the tears I keep.
