پانی وہیں سے پیو جہاں سے گھوڑا پیتا ہے کیونکہ نسلی گھوڑا ناپاک پانی کو منہ نہیں لگاتا۔ ‏سکون سے سونا ہو تو چارپائی وہیں بچھائو جہاں بلی سوتی ہے ،کیونکہ بلی ہمیشہ پر سکون جگہ کا ہی انتخاب کرتی ہے ۔ پھل وہ کھاؤ جسے کیڑا کھائے بغیر چھو کر گزرا ہو ۔ کیونکہ کیڑا صرف پکے پھل کو ہی تلاش کرتا ہے۔

پھر وہ کس کے لیے رکھتے ہیں سجا کر آنکھیں

میں انہیں دیکھتا رہتا ہوں جہاں تک دیکھوں
ایک وہ ہیں جو دیکھیں نا اٹھا کر آنکھیں

اس جگہ آج بھی بیٹھا ہوں اکیلا یارو
جس جگہ چھوڑ گئے تھے وہ ملا کر آنکھیں

مجھ سے نظریں وہ اکثر چرا لیتے ہیں فراز
میں نے کاغذ پہ بھی دیکھی ہیں بنا کر آنکھیں
