Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran, Vice Chancellor of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, attended the TECHXPO 2025 held at the Women’s University Multan as a distinguished guest. He was warmly received by the host Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Kalsoom Paracha, who expressed her gratitude for his valuable presence and encouragement extended to the faculty and students. The event was also graced by Mr. Ajmal Khan Chandia, Parliamentary Secretary for Higher Education, Punjab, and Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ramzan, Vice Chancellor of Emerson University Multan.

In his remarks, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran commended the innovative and technology-driven ideas showcased by the participants. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran, worthy Vice Chancellor of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, recently met renowned poet, playwright, and TV anchor Wasi Shah in Lahore, where both exchanged thoughts on literature, education, and media’s role in society. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran appreciated Wasi Shah’s poetic brilliance and his impactful presence in Pakistani media, while Wasi Shah lauded the Vice Chancellor’s visionary leadership and the transformative progress of IUB as a historic institution in southern Punjab. A significant webinar hosted by the Social and Digital Media Social at the Islamia University of Bahawalpur (IUB), experts shed light on India’s ongoing digital propaganda war against Pakistan. Titled *“Digital Defense, Indian Propaganda, and the Role of Social Media,”* the event brought together esteemed guest speakers including our respected vice chancellor Dr. Muhammad Kamran and an esteemed panel of experts including Prof. Dr. Abdul Rauf (Director Student Affairs), Prof. Dr. Savera Mujib Shami (Chairperson, Department of Digital Media, University of the Punjab), and seasoned journalists and analysts such as Mr. Naveed Chaudhry, Mr. Isar Rana,Mr. Gul-e-Naukhaiz Akhtar, Mr. Ashraf Sharif, and Mr. Farrukh Shahbaz Warraich. Also among the speakers was Ms. Ribah Imran, a prominent YouTuber and expert on Indian affairs, who shared valuable insights into the digital tactics used in modern propaganda warfare . The seminar aimed to educate students on the dynamics of fifth-generation warfare and the manipulative tactics used by Indian media and social platforms to defame Pakistan and misguide its youth.

Speaking at the occasion, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran emphasized the urgent need to prepare the younger generation to combat false narratives with truth and integrity. He warned against the psychological and strategic impact of misinformation campaigns and highlighted the role of academia in fostering digital literacy. Imran Pak provided an in-depth analysis of how fake news is weaponized in the digital battlefield, urging students to become active digital defenders of the country.

Organized with full academic spirit and patriotic fervor, the seminar reaffirmed the university’s commitment to national security, ideological sovereignty, and media responsibility. Participants left empowered with a stronger sense of duty to uphold Pakistan’s integrity both online and offline.
