We all want friends, right? Friends who'd listen to us and support us and be there for us in good times and bad times? We might want just one or maybe even a huge group!
But when you pray to Allah SWT for sincere friends, add one more thing, always ask for friends who would support you when you're right but would also oppose you when you're wrong, and would let you know that you're wrong and help you correct it. Ask for friends who wouldn't hype you up when you're at fault. Ask for friends who wouldn't join in your lies or would help you bully, mock or ridicule others just to make you feel happy or better about yourself. Ask for friends who wouldn't avenge your mistakes or wrongdoings. Ask for friends who wouldn't feed your anger or greed or nafs in general. Ask for friends who would always remind you to be kind and compassionate. Because you are known by the company you keep.
And if you have such friends, or even just one in your life, consider yourself lucky and always be grateful to Allah SWT because that's a huge blessing! ❤
