Hot take: Cold email isn’t dead. Most people just never set it up correctly.
I see the same mistakes over and over:
Sending from their main domain. No DNS configuration. Blasting a generic list. Writing copy that starts with “I hope this email finds you well.”
Then they wonder why nothing lands.
The truth is cold email in 2026 is more powerful than ever — but only for people who treat it like a system, not a one-time campaign.
I’ve spent the last two years sending 7,500+ proposals on Upwork and managing outbound campaigns sending over 1.3 million emails a month for B2B clients.
The channel works. The lazy version of it doesn’t.
If you’re a founder or sales leader whose outbound isn’t producing — the problem isn’t cold email. It’s everything around it.
What’s your experience with cold email? Still using it or gave up on it?
