Flood Assessment ,Miacher & Dadimal Nalah
At around 5:00 AM on 18 August 2026, a flash flood started in Miacher–Dadimal Nalah, developing into an exceptionally high-intensity and record-level flood event.
On the directives of DC Nagar, the Assistant Commissioner, along with the AD GBDMA and Magistrate HQ, visited the affected areas and conducted a preliminary damage assessment. The flood damaged 12 water channels (7 Dadimal, 5 Miacher), completely damaged the Miacher–Dadimal link road, disrupted the electricity transmission system due to damaged/cut-off power pole, and damaged several trees. One irrigation water chamber supplying drinking water to Miacher Valley was also completely damaged.
The Miacher Numberdar and local community were present during the visit and appreciated the prompt response of the District Administration.
Despite the unprecedented flood intensity, no loss of human life or injury was reported. Restoration of essential infrastructure, particularly water channels, drinking-water supply, electricity and road connectivity, will be pursued on a priority basis in coordination with the concerned departments and GBDMA.
