Sh**un Bahor is a spring festival traditionally celebrated by Uyghur Muslims in the Xinjiang region of China, especially marking the arrival of Nowruz (New Year) on March 21st. “Sh**un” means "beginning" and “Bahor” means "spring," so it symbolizes the start of spring and new beginnings. The festival is a time for family gatherings, traditional Uyghur music, dancing, feasts, and prayers for prosperity and peace. Homes are cleaned, special dishes like samsa and polu are prepared, and people wear colorful attire.
