A leaf from Algeria freedom struggle.....
Zuleikha Al - Shayab was an Algerian freedom fighter woman. This historical photo was taken on 15th October , 1957 when she was captured by French Army. She was tied behind a truck of French occupational forces and was dragged in streets of Algiers . She was then tortured for 10 days more and eventually was thrown from sky in French army helicopter. After martyrdom of Zuleikha , along with over one million Algerians , the French were forced to acknowledge that they were no match to the honor and dignity of Algerian people and on 5th July ,1962 Algerian achieved independence from France.
