Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has officially announced a new examination pattern for BS (ODL) programs starting from Spring 2026 semester. This update is very important for all BS students as it changes the way exams will be conducted.
In this video, you will get complete details of the new 100 marks paper scheme, including:
✅ Part 1: MCQs (40 Marks)
• 40 objective questions
• 20 Knowledge-based (book-based)
• 20 Understanding-based (conceptual)
• OMR sheet system
✅ Part 2: Short Questions (40 Marks)
• 4 questions (10 marks each)
• 3 Application-based
• 1 Analytical question
✅ Part 3: Long Question (20 Marks)
• 1 detailed question
• Based on critical thinking & creativity
• Includes: Critique, Justification, Proposal
📌 Important Update:
• This pattern is only for BS (ODL) programs
• लागू from Spring 2026 exams
• Other programs (Matric, FA, BA) will follow the old pattern
