My dear respected elders and brothers of Balltit,
This is wonderful news; however, it is also a moment to pause, reflect, and unite.
There are deliberate efforts—both internal and external—to divide us and exploit our resources and land, something we are already witnessing in the surroundings of Attabad.
In 1996, Mawlana Shah Karim guided us on how to live our lives and conduct our businesses, and the same guidance continues through our present Imam.
Hunza in general, and Karimabad in particular, is gradually losing its uniqueness and cultural significance.
When we look at the view of our beloved Baltit, it now resembles that of Murree—crowded and commercialized. Our natural beauty, our surroundings, and the distinct identity of the Hunzukutz are our true Unique Selling Points.
Just yesterday, during the GE Festival in Dubai, Prince Aly Muhammad mentioned Hunza by name in his speech—a powerful reminder that we must cherish the traditions of our forefathers. We must remain united and strong—for our heritage, for our land, and for each other.
Secondly, As we witness our sisters and daughters making their mark across the globe, it is essential to include them in this group. Their voices, perspectives, and wisdom are vital for achieving balance and harmony, in alignment with the vision of our Imam.
