Khalid Aziz, son of Muhammad Aziz from Hyderabad, Hunza, has earned the distinct honor of representing Aga Khan University (AKU) at the prestigious ADLM 2025 conference (formerly the AACC Annual Scientific Meeting & Clinical Lab Expo), hosted by the Association for Diagnostics & Laboratory Medicine (ADLM) in the United States.
Mr. Aziz personally presented a research poster titled “Implementation of DUKE ML-DQA Framework in LMIC Healthcare Institution,” a collaborative project between AKU and the Duke Institute for Health Innovation. The study focuses on the implementation of a comprehensive data quality assurance (DQA) framework to evaluate and enhance healthcare data systems in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs).
The research addresses significant challenges in electronic health record (EHR) infrastructure and outlines practical improvements that support the responsible use of machine learning in resource-constrained healthcare environments.
His participation at this globally recognized scientific forum reflects both his dedication and the growing impact of Pakistani institutions in the field of health innovation.
We wish Khalid Aziz the very best in his future endeavors and continued success in his journey of academic and professional excellence.
