Mayor Barrister Murtaza Wahab inaugurated Pakistan’s first Mangrove Biodiversity Park at Korangi Creek, a unique floating park established in collaboration with the Sindh Forest Department. The park aims to protect mangroves, raise environmental awareness, and involve civil society and the business community in conservation efforts.

Designed by Shah Murad Aliani and architect Tariq Alexander Qaiser, it features eco-friendly pathways, a floating education center, and uses 80% recycled materials. Home to over 72 bird species, mudskippers, and fiddler crabs, the park combines education with biodiversity preservation. Another mangrove park near KPT is planned.
