Independence Day & Marka-e-Haq Celebration 2025 – Hyderabad
August 7, 2025

Under the supervision of District Sports Officer Hyderabad, Ms. Maryam Keerio, the Independence Day Marka-e-Haq Sports Festival 2025 continued into its second day with great enthusiasm.

Competitions in Badminton, Table Tennis, Chess (Boys & Girls), and Kabaddi (Men) were held, attracting a large number of athletes from Hyderabad.

The events were formally inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner Hyderabad, Mr. Zain-ul-Abedin, who expressed his delight at witnessing the remarkable participation and enthusiasm of the players.

At the closing ceremony, District Sports Officer Ms. Maryam Keerio thanked all the guests for their presence and appreciated the athletes’ outstanding energy and sportsmanship. She also distributed prizes among the winners.

In her address, she highly praised the efforts of Minister for Sports Chief Sardar Muhammad Bux Khan Mahar, Secretary Sports & Youth Affairs Department Mr. Munawar Ali Mahesar, and Director Sports Mr. Asad Ishaq for their continuous support. She expressed hope that the Sports Department will continue to organize such excellent events for Hyderabad in the future.

On the auspicious occasion of Independence Day and Marka-e-Haq Celebrations, the Honourable Chief Minister Sindh has announced Special Awards for:
🏠 Best Decorated House
🚗 Best Decorated Vehicle
🏪 Best Decorated Shop
🏢 Best Decorated Government/Commercial Building

We invite all citizens, offices, and autonomous bodies to actively participate in these celebrations by beautifully decorating their premises and sharing your photos/videos with us.

📱 How to Participate:
1️⃣ Decorate your house, vehicle, shop, or building.
2️⃣ Take clear photos/videos.
3️⃣ Send them via WhatsApp to your respective district’s number (given below) along with your name, details, and location.

📅 Last Date for Submission: 13th August 2025
✅ All entries will be verified for the competition and forwarded to the Secretary, Government of Sindh – Culture & Tourism Department for final award selection in each category.
