Pakistan Police Martyrs Day (Youm-e-Shuhada-e-Police) is observed on August 4th every year to honor the sacrifices of police officers who laid down their lives in the line of duty. The day was first officially observed in 2014, following a directive by the Government of Pakistan to acknowledge and pay tribute to the countless police personnel who embraced martyrdom while protecting the lives, properties, and peace of the nation.
