From Presence to Power 🚀

Across Pakistan, women journalists are stepping forward as leaders in digital media.

Through mentoring, collaboration, and dialogue, 10 women from 5 regions came together to build confidence, strengthen leadership, and co-create a shared vision for more inclusive newsrooms.

This video captures the spirit of that journey — courage, collaboration, and the rising energy of women shaping the future of media.

خواتین قائدین کا سفر رَواں دَواں ہے!

پاکستان کے 5 خِطّے

اور میڈیا اداروں کی پیشہ ورانہ فضاء میں تبدیلی کا ایک مشترکہ چارٹر

گزشتہ چند دنوں میں ہم نے پاکستان کے ڈیجیٹل میڈیا منظر نامے سے ابھرنے والی خواتین قیادت کی کہانیاں آپ کے ساتھ شیئر کیں؛ بلوچستان سے گلگت بلتستان تک، خیبر پختونخوا سے سندھ اور پنجاب تک۔

یہ صرف چند پروفائلز نہیں تھیں۔

یہ اُن خواتین کی داستانیں تھیں جو اپنے عزم، محنت اور پیشہ ورانہ صلاحیت کے ذریعے نیوز رومز میں نئی راہیں ہموار کر رہی ہیں۔

From Presence to Power پائلٹ پراجیکٹ کے اِس سفر میں ان خواتین نے محض شرکت برائے شرکت نہیں کی، بَل کہ انھون نے مل کر ایک ایسا وِیژن ترتیب دیا جس میں زیادہ محفوظ، زیادہ شُمُولِیَّت آموز (inclusive) اور زیادہ وسیع بنیادوں پر استوار اور با اختیار نیوز رومز کا خواب شامل ہے۔

✨ انھوں نے ایک مشترکہ چارٹر مُرَتّب کیا

✨ انھوں نے قیادت کے نئے راستے متعَیّن کیے

✨ انھوں نے یہ ثابت کیا کہ جب خواتین آگے بڑھتی ہیں تو میڈیا کی پوری فِضاء میں توانائی اور نئی زندگی کا دَور دَورہ ہوتا ہے
یہ مہم آج اپنے اشاعتی مرحلے کو مکمل کر رہی ہے؛ مگر خواتین کی قیادت سازی اور اپنے لیے space (re)claiming کا سفر ابھی شروع ہوا ہے۔

پاکستان کے میڈیا کا مستقبل صرف وہ آوازیں نہیں بنائیں گی جو خبریں سناتی ہیں، بَل کہ وہ خواتین بھی بنائیں گی جو میڈیا اداروں کی سَمّت مُتعیّن کریں گی، فیصلوں میں شریک ہوں گی اور میڈیا پروفیشن میں آنے والی نسلوں کے لیے نئے دروازے کھولیں گی۔

آئیے اسے پاکستان کے میڈیا میں ابھرتی ہوئی بہت سی نئی قیادتوں کے فِروغ کا نُقطۂِ آغاز سمجھیں، نشانِ ارتقاء باور کریں۔ 🚀

IFJ اور NED کی مُعاوِنت سے DigiMAP اس عزمِ عالی شان کے ساتھ آگے بڑھ رہا ہے کہ پاکستان کی ڈیجیٹل میڈیا فضاء میں علاقائی تنوُّع کی آرائش و توانائی، انمول و منفرد آوازوں اور کہانیوں کی حامل خواتین قیادت کو مزید مضبوط اور مؤثر بنایا جائے۔
