Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, Chief of Army Staff & Chief of Defence Forces (COAS & CDF), during his official visit to Türkiye, held a series of high-level engagements in Istanbul.

COAS & CDF separately met H.R.H. Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Minister of Defence of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, H.E Hakan Fidan Minister of Foreign Affairs of Türkiye, H.E. Yaşar Güler, Minister of National Defence of Türkiye and General Selçuk Bayraktaroğlu Chief of the Turkish General Staff.

During the engagements, matters of mutual interest, bilateral defence cooperation and the regional security environment were discussed.

COAS & CDF also attended the meeting of the Strategic Political and Defence Committee under the Makkah Agreement for Joint Defence, bringing together Pakistan, Türkiye and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The three sides reviewed avenues for further strengthening strategic coordination and defence cooperation.

The engagements reflected the close bonds of brotherhood and growing strategic and defence cooperation among Pakistan, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Türkiye.

A ceremony marking the 104th anniversary of Turkish Armed Forces Victory Day was held at General Headquarters (GHQ), Rawalpindi, with Turkish Ambassador to Pakistan İrfan Neziroğlu attending as Guest of Honour.

The event highlighted the enduring bonds of brotherhood between Pakistan and Türkiye, while reaffirming the commitment to further strengthen bilateral defence and strategic cooperation.

Participants also paid tribute to the courage and sacrifices of the Turkish Armed Forces.

🚨 Major Development in Pakistan-India Water Dispute

The Hague arbitration tribunal has reaffirmed that the Indus Waters Treaty remains in force, rejecting the position that India can unilaterally suspend or terminate the landmark water-sharing agreement.

The tribunal has also placed limits on certain construction activities linked to hydropower projects in the Himalayan region, while the treaty compliance of disputed projects is examined.

🇵🇰 Pakistan has welcomed the ruling, saying it strengthens the legal status of the 1960 treaty.

🇮🇳 India, however, has rejected the proceedings and maintained that it does not recognize the tribunal’s jurisdiction.

The dispute centers on projects including the Ratle and Kishanganga hydropower schemes and their potential impact on water flows to Pakistan.

🇵🇰🤝🇮🇷 PM Shehbaz & Iranian President Pezeshkian Meet in Bishkek

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Iranian President Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian held a warm and cordial meeting on the sidelines of the SCO Council of Heads of State meeting in Bishkek.

*ANF's Crackdown Against Drug Traffickers*

ANF conducted *8* operations, resulting in the apprehension of *7* suspects in various cities across the country, & recovered *392.48 kgs* of drugs worth over 4 Crore 82 lac PKR

*International Drug Interdiction*

1. At Peshawar Airport, *38 heroin-filled capsules* weighing *230 grams* recovered from the abdomen of a passenger travelling to Jeddah.

2. At Jinnah Airport, *6.25 kgs* of *ice* soaked in clothes recovered from the baggage of a passenger travelling to Jeddah.

*Domestic Drug Interdiction*

1. Near Jacobabad, *36 kgs* of *hashish* & *13.4 kgs* of *ice* seized from a vehicle, suspect arrested.

2. In Sheikhupura, *7.2 kgs* of *hashish,* *2.2 kgs* of *o***m,* & *1 kg* of *ice* recovered from a motorcycle-riding accused.

3. Near Ring Road, Peshawar, *3.6 kgs* of *hashish* confiscated from a rickshaw, 2 suspects arrested.

4. Near Hazarganji, Quetta, *300 kgs* of *o***m* seized.

5. Near Janjal Goth, Karachi, *21.6 kgs* of *hashish* recovered.

*Inter-provincial Drug Interdiction*

1. Near Jamshoro Toll Plaza, *1 kg* of *w**d* recovered from a suspect.

* Cases have been registered under the CNSA-1997.
