PSW-Pakistan Single Window Provides a single access point that allows lodging information to fulfill all trade requirements.

Pakistan Single Window (PSW) is Company Registered with SECP under section 42 of Companies Act 2017, administratively controlled by Federal Board of Revenue Customs Department Government of Pakistan. Pakistan has committed to develop and launch its NSW by 2022, aptly called Pakistan Single Window (PSW) with Pakistan Customs being designated as the โ€˜Lead Agencyโ€™ by the Prime Ministerโ€™s Office for d

evelopment of this important reform initiative. Accordingly, Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has established a Program Management Office (PMO) in Customs Wing to coordinate and supervise this initiative. A Single Window is a facility that allows parties involved in trade and transport to lodge standardized information and documents with a single-entry point to fulfill all import, export, and transit-related regulatory requirements. Pakistan Single Window will help reduce the time and cost of doing business in Pakistan and make trade related business processes more efficient, transparent and consistent.

Pakistan Single Window (PSW) participated in the 2๐—ป๐—ฑ ๐—ฃ๐—ฎ๐—ธโ€“๐—–๐—ต๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ฎ ๐—•2๐—• ๐—œ๐—ป๐˜ƒ๐—ฒ๐˜€๐˜๐—บ๐—ฒ๐—ป๐˜ ๐—–๐—ผ๐—ป๐—ณ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐—ป๐—ฐ๐—ฒ in Beijing, organized by the Government of Pakistanโ€™s Board of Investment alongside the Honorable Prime Ministerโ€™s visit to China. Representing PSW, Aamish Ahmed joined senior government officials, business leaders, and investors to explore new opportunities for bilateral trade and investment.

The conference served as a platform for PSW to demonstrate how its digital trade ecosystem can complement Chinaโ€“Pakistan economic cooperation by accelerating customs clearance, supporting e-commerce linkages, and enabling seamless cross-border connectivity. Through direct engagement with Chinese stakeholders, PSW explored potential collaborations, joint ventures, and technology partnerships designed to reinforce supply chains, improve trade connectivity, and enhance the competitiveness of Pakistani exports in regional and global markets. Under its initiative, PSW successfully hosted the workshop in Karachi, empowering nearly 100 textile SMEs, 33% of which were women-led, to strengthen their export readiness. The session brought together leadership and executive management from all major textile associations, alongside senior representatives from government entities, financial institutions, NGOs, and IGOs.

Any unauthorized access, manipulation of data, or misuse of PSW systems, devices or systems connected to ancillary thereto is a punishable offence under the PSW Act 2021, with penalties including up to 3 years imprisonment, fines, or both.

The DRAP Clearance Gateway, a cutting-edge digital platform, streamlines licensing, import permits, and approvals by eliminating in-person visits and enabling real-time tracking, digital fee payments, and online approvals. PSW recently held a session as part of the Specialized Training Programme (STP) for probationers of the 52nd Common Training Programme (CTP) at the Customs Academy of Pakistan.

Imran Razzaq, Domain Officer, gave a detailed orientation of the PSW platform, highlighting key initiatives and upcoming projects driving digital transformation in trade facilitation. Rizwan Samad introduced the Trade Information Portal of Pakistan (TIPP), explaining how it simplifies access to laws, procedures, regulatory requirements, and policy updates for imports, exports, and transit trade.
