As part of its ongoing capacity-building efforts, PSW partnered with the Department of Plant Protection (DPP) in Karachi to conduct a two-day session on the Pesticides Product Registration Module. The workshop equipped stakeholders with practical skills to transition from manual processes to a fully digital platform, including live demos, step-by-step guidance, and exercises on uploading registration certificates. This initiative enhances efficiency, transparency, and aligns operations with international best practices.

Participants also explored the Electronic Certificate of Origin (E-CO) Module, with hands-on demonstrations of submission workflows. Episode 115 of Trade Insights highlights how Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) can now automatically receive their 25% provisional quota through the PSW platform, eliminating the need to submit manual applications to the Engineering Development Board (EDB). This fully digital process, scheduled annually on July 1st, enhances transparency, reduces delays, and allows OEMs to conveniently request quota enhancements directly through the PSW system.
