It was an honor to participate in an expert group meeting convened by the National Commission on the Status of Women (NCSW), in collaboration with UNFPA, bringing together leading voices from media, academia, and policy to reflect on a gender-sensitive Code of Ethics for today’s evolving media landscape. From my lens as a digital media analyst, the discussion reinforced how algorithmic systems, AI-driven content ecosystems, and influencer economies are increasingly shaping perceptions, decisions, and social behaviors at scale.
As technology accelerates, the need for ethical, inclusive, and responsible communication frameworks becomes even more critical to ensure equity in digital narratives and public discourse. Looking forward to further collaborations with development and government partners to contribute my expertise toward strengthening the ethical and responsible use of digital media for greater public impact.
