🎓 Chonnam National University Scholarships — Spring 2027

International students can apply for master’s, PhD and integrated master’s–PhD programs, with full first-semester tuition waivers listed under several scholarship routes and partial tuition reductions also available.

HOW TO APPLY FOR ERASMUS MUNDUS SCHOLARSHIPS 2027

Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters allow selected students to complete one master’s degree while studying at multiple universities and, depending on the programme, in multiple countries.

APPLICATION STEPS:

1. Visit the official Erasmus Mundus Catalogue.
2. Shortlist programmes matching your bachelor’s degree and completed subjects.
3. Check the programme’s eligibility, mobility route and scholarship deadline.
4. Prepare your transcripts, degree certificate, CV, English-language proof, motivation letter and recommendation letters.
5. Apply directly through the programme consortium’s official application portal.
6. Select the scholarship option where required.
7. Prepare for an interview if shortlisted.
8. Monitor your email and application portal for the selection result.

ERASMUS MUNDUS BENEFITS:

• €1,400 monthly scholarship contribution
• Up to €33,600 for a 24-month programme

A 3.0 CGPA does not automatically disqualify you from international scholarship opportunities.

Several major programmes either accept applicants around this academic range, publish no universal GPA cutoff, or assess candidates through their complete academic and professional profiles.

WHY ARE PROFESSORS NOT REPLYING TO YOUR EMAILS?

In many cases, the problem is not your academic record—it is your approach.

Professors may ignore an email when:

• It looks like a bulk message sent to dozens of academics
• The proposed topic has little connection with their current research
• The email discusses your ambitions but not why you fit their laboratory or project
• The research proposal or study plan appears copied and generic
• You attach several documents without a clear, concise introduction
• You never send a polite follow-up after 7–10 working days

Before contacting a professor, read their recent publications, laboratory page and ongoing-project descriptions. Your email should clearly explain:

1. Which specific part of their research interests you
2. How your education or experience connects with it
3. What research question you hope to investigate
4. Why you are contacting that particular professor
5. Whether you are seeking supervision, an acceptance letter or information about a funded position

You can also follow professors and research groups on ResearchGate or LinkedIn and engage meaningfully with relevant publications. However, avoid repeatedly commenting merely to attract attention. Genuine academic engagement can make your name familiar, but it does not replace a well-targeted email.

Personalization takes longer than mass emailing—but ten carefully researched emails can be more effective than one hundred generic messages.

Germany’s Ausbildung program allows international applicants to train for a recognized profession, work with a real employer and receive a monthly training salary.

Ausbildung opportunities are available in:
