🌳 Exploring Potohar

74-Year-Old Avocado Farm Tour

Dear Participants,

We regret to inform you that the “Exploring Potohar — 74-Year-Old Avocado Farm Tour”, scheduled for Saturday, September 05, 2026, has been postponed due to the forecast of heavy rainfall and thunderstorms.

According to the latest weather advisory of the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), rain-wind/thunderstorm activity with isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Murree, Potohar and adjoining areas on September 4–5.

PMD has also warned of the possibility of flash flooding in local streams/nullahs and landslides in hilly areas, including Murree, during this period.

Considering that our destination, Hill Fruit Research Sub-Station, Tret, Murree, is located in hilly terrain with steep and uneven paths, we believe that the safety of our participants must come first.

Therefore, after careful consideration, we have decided to postpone the tour rather than take any unnecessary risk.

🙏 We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

📅 NEW DATE

The rescheduled date will be announced soon, subject to suitable weather conditions and confirmation from the concerned authorities.

Participants who have already booked their seats will receive priority for the rescheduled tour.

We look forward to welcoming you soon for this special opportunity to explore the remarkable 74-year-old avocado farm of Tret and discover the agricultural heritage of Potohar. 🌳🥑
