In Islam Honesty (Sidq)
Islam places great importance on honesty in words and actions. Being truthful and trustworthy is a fundamental quality for Muslims.
Quranic Reference:
“Indeed, Allah commands you to render trusts to whom they are due and when you judge between people to judge with justice. Excellent is that which Allah instructs you. Indeed, Allah is ever Hearing and Seeing.”
— (Surah An-Nisa 4:58)
Prophetic Saying (Hadith):
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:
"The truthful merchant is with the Prophets, the truthful ones, and the martyrs."
— (Tirmidhi, Hadith 1209)
