I have one question for our , the Capital Development Authority Capital Development Authority - CDA, IslamabadIslamabad Islamabad Police, and every higher authority responsible for this country.
Why has dog killing started again?
Do you really have nothing more important to deal with?
One dog bites someone and suddenly an entire population of innocent animals has to pay the price. Dogs are poisoned, hunted, and killed as if their lives mean nothing.
But let me ask you something…
What about our children?
What about the six month old babies, one year old babies, four-year-old children, and six year old children who are being sexually abused?
Who is going to give them justice?
A dog may bite because it is sick, injured, frightened, hungry, thirsty, or in pain. An animal cannot tell you what it is going through. It cannot call an ambulance. It cannot call a doctor.
But the people committing these horrific crimes?
They know exactly what they are doing!
And this is where I have a serious question for our authorities.
We keep hearing about children being abused in schools, colleges, universities, madrassas, and even places where children are supposed to be completely safe.
So why aren't we seeing the same urgency when it comes to protecting children?
Why is so much attention given to killing animals, while the predators living among us continue to exist?
And I also want to ask the specifically:
Who is monitoring these private hostels operating inside residential areas?
Fifteen, twenty, sometimes even more people living inside one property who is checking what is happening there?
Who is checking whether women and girls in surrounding homes are being harassed?
Who is checking whether animals are being abused?
Who is monitoring illegal or dangerous online activities?
Who is responsible for the safety of the families living around these places?
Because if there is no check and balance, then who exactly is protecting our children?
And please understand what I am saying.
I am not saying ignore dog bites.but
If the animal is dangerous, deal with it humanely. Investigate the situation. Treat the animal. Protect people.
But don't punish every innocent animal because of one incident.
And don't tell us that killing dogs is the easiest solution while the real predators are still walking freely among us.
A dog might bite once.
But these predators destroy lives.
They abuse children.
They torture them.
They traumatize them.
And in some horrifying cases, they even kill them.
So my question to Maryam Nawaz Sharif, to the government, to the CDA, to the police, and to every higher authority:
Where is your action against these predators?
Where is the campaign against child abusers?
Where is the check and balance?
Where is the protection for our children?
Because if you can mobilize an entire system to hunt down innocent animals…
Then surely you can use that same system to protect innocent children.**
This is not just a question about dogs.
This is a question about our priorities.
And I want an answer.
