HBL and the Pakistan Super League (PSL) have reaffirmed their longstanding collaboration, with HBL set to continue as the title sponsor for the 11th and 12th seasons of the league, covering the 2026 and 2027 editions.

PTCL Group, including PTCL and Ufone 4G, signed a long-term MoU with GSMA at GITEX Global 2025 to support cross-industry collaboration through the GSMA Open Gateway initiative.

This initiative enables enterprises to securely access mobile networks via standardized APIs, simplifying digital integration and accelerating innovation.

PTCL Group has developed and certified two APIs, ‘Send OTP’ and ‘Validate OTP’, under the CAMARA 1.0.0 standard, based on Client Initiated Backend Authentication (CIBA). These APIs offer secure, interoperable authentication to reduce fraud and improve user experience.

In a joint effort to improve access to justice and financial literacy, Bank Alfalah Limited has partnered with the Legal Aid Society (LAS) Pakistan to launch “ADAL – Justice with Dignity, Awareness and Empowerment.” The year-long initiative will empower 2,000 individuals through legal and financial education across Karachi’s underprivileged communities.

Backed by a PKR 6 million contribution from Bank Alfalah, the program reflects the bank’s commitment to corporate social responsibility and inclusive growth.

Implemented by LAS, one of Pakistan’s leading justice-sector organizations, ADAL will conduct 100 community sessions led by trained paralegals, focusing on women and minority groups. These sessions will enhance understanding of rights, legal systems, and financial decision-making while offering pro bono legal aid to women lacking access to counsel.

The University of Tokyo has opened applications for the ADB-Japan Scholarship Program 2026, offering fully funded master’s degrees to students from ADB member countries, including Pakistan.

The scholarship covers tuition, monthly living expenses, travel costs, medical insurance, and support for thesis or research work, allowing students to focus entirely on their studies.

Eligibility Criteria:

- Citizen of an ADB member country (e.g. Pakistan)

- Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university

- At least two years of full-time work experience

- Under 35 years of age

- No prior master’s degree

- Commitment to return home for at least two years after graduation

PhD applicants should consider applying through the MEXT Scholarship instead.

Application Requirements:

- Completed GSFS application form

- Research and study plan

- Academic transcripts and degree certificate

- Two recommendation letters (sent directly by referees)

- Contact with potential GSFS supervisors (list up to five in the application)
