12-member team of young Shimshali climbers, including 2 girls, summit unclimbed majestic Passu Cones (6,106m).

The team had earlier planned to scale the peak on Pakistan's Independence Day 14th August.

According to sources, the weather forecast forced them to summit the peak today, a day before Pakistan celebrates its independence day.

شہر گلگت میں پینے کے پانی میں آلودگی سے متعلق وفاقی وزارت سائنس و ٹیکنالوجی کی وارننگ کے حوالے سے چلنے والی خبر پر وزیر اعلی خالد خورشید کا نوٹس!

وزیر اعلی گلگت بلتستان خالد خورشید نے وزارت سائنس وٹیکنالوجی کیجانب سے گلگت شہر میں پینے کے پانی میں آلودگی کی وارننگ کے حوالے سے چلنے والی خبر پر نوٹس لیتے ہوئے ایل جی آرڈی، پی ایچ اے اور ای پی اے پر مشتمل مشترکہ کمیٹی بنانے کے احکامات جاری کردئے ہیں۔

کمیٹی گلگت شہر کے پانی کی ٹیسٹنگ۔ سمپلنگ اور تجریہ کرنے کی مجاز ہوگی اور اس حوالے سے وزیر اعلی گلگت بلتستان کو سات دن کے اندر تفصیلی رپورٹ پیش کرے گی۔

وفاقی وزارت آئی ٹی و ٹیلی کمیونیکیشن نے گلگت بلتستان کیلئے 4G انٹرنیٹ لائسنسز کی نیلامی حوالے سے پالیسی ہدایات جاری کردیں۔

اس نیلامی میں موجودہ موبائل سیلولر نیٹ ورکس اور نئی موبائل کمپنیاں حصہ لے سکیں گی۔

قوی امید ہے کہ رواں سال ستمبر تک 4G لائسنسز کی نیلامی اور اجراء کا عمل مکمل ہوگا۔

In its categorisation, Wikicampers, a website providing tourist services in different parts of the world, called the KKH an “ideal setting for the most dizzying road trip.”
