A 104-year-old Chicago lady who left her walker on the ground and made a tandem leap in northern Illinois is vying to become the oldest person to ever skydive.
Dorothy Hoffner said, "Age is just a number," to an applauding crowd after touching down on Sunday at Skydive Chicago in Ottawa, some 85 miles (140 kilometers) southwest of Chicago, according to the Chicago Tribune.
Swedish citizen Linnéa Ingegärd Larsson, 103, achieved the Guinness World Record for the oldest skydiver in May 2022. However, according to WLS-TV, Skydive Chicago is attempting to get Guinness World Records to recognize Hoffner's jump as a record
