Pakistan is moving toward regulating the cannabis sector as the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) approved a Rs. 100 million technical supplementary grant for the Cannabis Control and Regulatory Authority (CCRA) in Islamabad.

The funding will support renovation and operational work at the authority’s new headquarters. Established under the Cabinet Division, the CCRA is responsible for regulating the cultivation, extraction, medical, industrial, and commercial use of cannabis in Pakistan.
