The Karachi Traffic Police has issued a comprehensive traffic advisory for the procession of the soyem Hazrat Imam Hussain (A.S.) and the Martyrs of Karbala, scheduled after the Majlis at Imambargah Sahib-ul-Zaman, Gulistan-e-Jauhar Block 14 approximately 10:00 PM.
The procession will conclude at Imambargah Akhir uz Zaman, Block 19, near Rashid Minhas Road, at approximately 6:00 AM.
To ensure the safety of participants and facilitate smooth traffic management:
- Professor Ghafoor Ahmed Road (from Johar Mor to Munawar Chowrangi) will remain closed for traffic in both directions.
- Vehicles coming from Millennium Mall and Drigh Road towards Gulistan-e-Jauhar will be diverted towards NIPA and Gulshan-e-Iqbal, with access via the Aladdin U-Turn and Lal Flats.
- Traffic approaching from NIPA and Aladdin towards Johar Mor will also be redirected back towards NIPA and Gulshan-e-Iqbal.
Citizens are advised to avoid unnecessary travel during the procession and cooperate with traffic police personnel deployed across the area. For real-time traffic updates and assistance, contact the Traffic Police Helpline 1915 and tune in to FM 88.6.
