An Israeli airstrike on Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital in the Gaza Strip has left at least 500 people dead, a spokesman for the health ministry in the besieged enclave said on Tuesday.

If confirmed, the attack on the al-Ahli Hospital in Gaza City would be by far the deadliest Israeli airstrike in five wars fought since 2008.

Photos from al-Ahli Hospital showed fire engulfing the hospital halls, shattered glass and body parts scattered across the area.

Several hospitals in Gaza City have become refuges for hundreds of people, hoping they would be spared bombardment after Israel ordered all residents of the city and surrounding areas to evacuate to the southern Gaza Strip.

The Israeli capital, Tel Aviv is currently facing severe flooding induced by heavy rainfall. The downpour has led to extensive waterlogging throughout the city. The rain has also claimed 2 lives.

It has been reported that the adverse weather conditions have compelled Israeli authorities to delay a scheduled ground military incursion into the Gaza Strip.

Numerous videos circulating on social media platforms show vehicles navigating through inundated streets, underscoring the widespread flooding in Tel Aviv and nearby Herzliya.

Most of the 2.3 million people in the Gaza Strip have no electricity and no water. And, with hundreds of Israeli strikes raining down on their tiny enclave, they have nowhere to run.

The Palestinian territory, one of the most crowded places on Earth, has been under siege since Saturday in a near-constant bombardment that Gazan health officials say has killed more than 1,000 people

Gaza's sole power station, which had been working intermittently for days, cut out on Wednesday after running out of fuel. Without power, water can't be pumped into houses. At night there's nearly total darkness punctuated by fireballs and the pin-pricks of light from phones used as flashlights.

"I lived through all the wars and incursions in the past, but I have never witnessed anything worse than this war," said Yamen Hamad, 35, a father-of-four, whose home had been destroyed by Israeli strikes on the northern Gaza town of Beit Hanoun.

At a hospital in Khan Younis in southern Gaza, relatives and friends lined up outside the overloaded morgue where bodies were laid out on the floor because coolers were full or had no power.

Muzzamil Hussain, also known as MHTOORI, a prominent local YouTuber, has issued a legal notice to Pakistan Television (PTV) World for copyright infringement.

The content creator chose the legal route because PTV aired his original video without obtaining his permission, which is typically the standard practice for TV channels when using others' content.

In this particular situation, the PTV administration neither sought Muzzamil's consent nor acknowledged his work.

When speaking with a private news channel, the YouTuber mentioned that he stumbled upon one of his videos being broadcasted by PTV without his authorization.

Israel’s intense aerial attacks on the Gaza Strip have continued for a fourth straight day after Hamas, the group running the besieged enclave, sent thousands of rockets and fighters inside Israel in an unprecedented attack.

The bombardment has so far killed at least 770 Palestinians, including dozens of children, and wounded some 4,000 others. More than 900 people in Israel have also been killed in the Hamas attack, with at least 2,600 others wounded.

As Israel launched more than 200 air raids overnight on Tuesday, Palestinians in Gaza scrambled to find shelter in the tiny besieged enclave, home to 2.3 million people.

“I ran away from home at 1am with my child and my wife,” Gaza resident Shadi al-Hassi told Al Jazeera. “We escaped from being targeted and came to another targeted place. We were surprised by everything, as fire and flames were thrown at us. There is no safe place in the Gaza Strip.”
