There’s one ayah I find myself repeating all the time “wa iyyāka nastaʿīn”, “and You alone we ask for help.”
It’s part of Surah Al-Fatiha, something we recite in every prayer, but for me, it’s become more than just words in salah.
Whether it’s something big like making a decision or something small like getting through the day when I’m drained, I find myself quietly saying, “wa iyyāka nastaʿīn”.
And then there are those mom moments, like when the kids start fighting over silly things, or when my toddle needs to go to washroom when I am hungry and in the middle of my lunch. I take a deep breath, look up, and in my head, it’s “wa iyyāka nastaʿīn ya Allah, please take over!” 😶🌫️
And the amazing thing? It brings calm. I’ve noticed that the moment I turn to Him,things start to shift. Not always on the outside, but definitely inside me. There’s a sense of peace and a reminder that I’m not alone in carrying my life's weight.
It’s such a short part of a short ayat, but it holds so much. It reminds me that I don’t have to have it all figured out, I just need to keep asking for help from the One who truly can help.
You are most welcome to try this out. It's totally FREE. 🌸
