Pakistan ranks 108 out of 143 countries in the World Happiness Report by the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Solutions Network, released on the International Day of Happiness.
Despite surpassing rivals India, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh, Pakistan has dropped from 103 to 108 in 2024. The ranking considers health, life expectancy, freedom, and corruption. Finland tops the list, with Afghanistan at the bottom.
Denmark, Iceland, and Sweden follow. The United States and Germany fell out of the top 20, ranking 23rd and 24th. The top 10 happiest countries include Israel, Netherlands, Norway, Luxembourg, Switzerland, and Australia.
