TUM MOTI KYUN NAE HOTI??!??🤯

Having a food blog I get this question ten times a day. Your curiosity is normal, but please don't trust pictures over the internet. You see me in pictures, most of you. And decide I have not put on weight. I do. In the last 6-7 years, I've put on 15kgs!!!! Yes, you read that right. 15 kgs.

People ask me what I do to maintain weight, I don't do anything, and as a result my weight is not even maintained lol. In the last 6 months only, it has fluctuated so much. Which is normal. It is normal for your weight to fluctuate, because you're HUMAN.

If you're too particular about it, just watch the calories you consume in a day. And you can literally have EVERYTHING you want to have if you monitor and track your calories. I have seen living examples of this, so I'm not just saying what I read on the internet. Most days, I skip lunch. And only have coffee for a late Breakfast. Have dinner AND save calories for junk, because I know I will have it! (I'm not saying this is a healthy way to live, which is why I never shared it) just do what suits you. But stop asking random people on internet "tum moti kyun nae hoti ho" because trust me, everyone gains weight!! 🙈

This 🍓 tart was SOOO GOOOOOD!!! 🌟 Costed ONLY Rs 280!! I mean?! 🤯

Also ordered a beef ciabatta sandwich, and omg!! Blown away! Melt in the mouth beef, amazing sauce, and super fresh bread! Yum! Costed under Rs 700! Great value for money! 🌟

Also - the iced latte was GREAT, and for just Rs 265!! 🤩

I see myself going to Théátre I Live Bakery & Café very often! Loved the interior too. ✨

HOT CHOCOLATE RANKING🍫☕

With every place serving hot chocolate these days I decided to go around and try different hot chocolate places and rank them - so you don't waste money on not so good ones 🤪 also I got to try hot chocolates so it was a win-win 🤩☕🍫 Here is the ranking:

1) Butlers Chocolates - despite trying sooo many hot chocolates, this was is the best one for me even now! Old is gold 😎

2) FLOC - For The Love of Coffee - very difficult second. Can easily be the first but then what's the point of a ranking :p. Their devil's dark chocolate is super richhh. Just that the first time I had it the Chocolate didn't dissolve well, the issue was resolved next time though 🤩 costs around Rs 550

3) Bingsu - this was a new find this season! Also, the cheapest GOOD hot chocolate I've ever had! Only Rs 350. Was a tad bit too sweet for me.

4) Pesto - had heard too many raving reviews for this one, but it was not as good as the others 🙈

5) Esquires Coffee Pakistan - typical Milo hot coffee 🙄. They only serve good hot chocolate during core winter months, which is so weird. I remember having it last year and the one I had this year was completely different than that. Idk why they can't be consistent with it 😂
What's your favourite hot chocolate place? I'd love to try more out 😁

Hello hello 🥳 how have you been? 💕
It's been agessss! But here's to kick-starting this space again!🤗
The last one month has been a roller coaster of events, good after bad, one after the other. But that's how life is supposed to be for everyone, no?
How do you like your life, super busy or slow and relaxed? ✨

Want coffee but too lazy to make it? So here's the coffee shortcut we do at home for our desi style frothy coffee :p.

Here's what you need
Coffee, water, and sugar in the ratio of 1:1:2 (just how my family likes it, you can do ZERO sugar, and it'll turn out like this only, will just take more beating time)

Important tips:
- the water needs to be boiling hot.
- beating time was approx 10 mins.
- consistency in the end should look like that of whipping cream.
- you can do it in bulk, and store this in a bottle in fridge for over a month easily!

Just heat milk, add a spoon or two of this, mix and you'll have a cup of machine like coffee at home in literally no time😍

Also, you can literally use this as frosting for cupcakes/cakes/cookies, it lasts and tastes super good!!

Guess who?😂

Heard people at work discussing how they've sent their 5-6 yo daughters to a school where it was mandatory for girls to wear a scarf, a shalwar & full sleeves clothes

I was so surprised at parents being okay with that. So I asked them why would they do that? They said it's a GOOD habit for a girl to learn so they don't mind

Here's my two cents on the topic: I think it is..weird to make girls wear a scarf forcibly, at an age they don't even understand the purpose of it! Also - when your religion doesn't even make it mandatory at that age. You as parents are being unfair to that young girl. Many of you will disagree to it, & ask how is this FORCING her? If you admit her in a school where it is mandatory for her to wear a scarf, she would have to comply to it obviously, how is that not forcing?

I know it is a good habit which might be instilled in your daughter due to being in that school, BUT there's a high chance that your daughter starts finding it a burden & can not wait for that school to end so she can get rid of that rule! Enforcing a certain thing, without letting her decide, after she understands the concept behind it, you're only preparing her to run away from it. Many people believe the 'culture' in which girls are brought up, they adapt to it, but in case of hijab I find this concept extremely problematic. This is your daughter's decision to take & this is the parents' responsibility to bring her up in that way, that she has those 'values' which they're looking to instill in her, through school rules! It's really unfair to a child if you enforce things on her from such a tender age, only to get her in the 'habit' of it. Religion doesn't even force it on her in that age, how can you?
I know most of you would still think that there's no harm in sending your daughter to such schools, but let me tell you, you'll understand the harm when she runs far away from it, thanks to you making that enforcement her introduction of hijab! I wish such schools which want to focus more on religion, actually practiced religion in its true sense & let a child be a child without forcing her behind curtains because of her gender! I means she's just a child?!

What's that one thing that makes you happy today?

That on-line shopping deal you got or that amazing meal you had or that new dress you're wearing? 🙂

There are moments in my life when I am shopping all things I want and it suddenly hits me, how certain years back I earned less than the minimum wage and even that made me very happyy!! 😁

Most people are often scared to post details about their life on social media, because they're scared of evil eye, which is super real. I wish more people found happiness in what they have, and in things they can afford, and in moments they have in their life. What's yours is yours, and what is someone else's can not be yours. I hope we all find happiness in what's ours and not be jealous of someone else's happiness. 🤗 Especially in these extremely difficult covid times. 🥺 People find their happiness among multiple difficulties - I hope we never become a source of tarnishing someone else's happiness. ❤️

Having said that, there are times we are supposed to consciously stop ourselves from being jealous of someone else's happiness, along with consciously making ourselves realize we are better off than many and how we have so many things to be grateful of. 🤗

What are you grateful for today?💕

CeraVe Skincare tinted moisturiser + sunscreen - 🌟
This is a hydrating tinted sunscreen - which means it moisturises, protects against sun, and gives very mild coverage since it's tinted. It's an SPF 30 and I would love to use it in winters or when at home!
I got it from Skin Store Pakistan for Rs 4500. I know it's pricey but if it helps me save on my moisturiser and gives sun protection I think it's worth it! 🙌
Is it moisturising enough? Yes, it has the 3 essential ceramides, and ALSO HAS NIACINAMIDE!!! 🌟
If you're thinking this might not suit your skin type, I have added a swatch of the product, and a comparison of my hand picture with and without product to show you how slight the tint is. Check it here: https://www.instagram.com/p/CIGWAR1BBGH/

For reference my skin type is normal to dry.

Would you pay over Rs 1000 per head to be seated practically on the roads, with every passerby gawking at you, pollution all around, mosquitos biting you, traffic noises all around you, and food getting cold almost instantly in this weather?!

Didn't fancy cafes promise a mood, atmosphere and experience?
