0RIC, Dawood University of Engineering and Technology successfully organized event titled Pitch Your Vision 2026 (A Business Plan Competition), in collaboration with Higher Education Commission (HEC) Pakistan on 7th May 2026. The activity aimed at fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, and startup culture among undergraduate students.

Students of various universities enthusiastically participated and presented innovative business ideas to the distinguished panel of judges including Mr. Syed Hazkeel Haider Rizvi (Head of Incubation, NIC Karachi), Ms. Rozina Imtiaz (Director CEID - DHA Suffa University), Mr. Syed Rizwan Ali (Head of BIC, Bahria University Karachi), Mr. Umair Ahmed Khan (Manager BIC, Iqra University) and Mr. Badar Sami (FPCCI committee member). The event provided a dynamic platform for young innovators to transform their visions into impactful ventures contributing toward the economic growth of Pakistan.

The competition was conducted under two categories to encourage students from different academic levels to showcase their creative ideas and entrepreneurial potential:

For 1st & 2nd Year Undergraduate Students

🔹 Emerging Entrepreneurs
For 3rd & 4th Year Undergraduate Students

In the Strategic Innovators category, Kazee AI by Mr. Syed Kazim Ali Rizvi (Department of Electronic Engineering, DUET) secured 1st position, followed by Ms. Rimsha as Synex as 2nd position (Department of Artificial Intelligence, DUET) and Electro Volt by Mr. Azeem Baig (Iqra University).

In the Emerging Entrepreneurs category, The Tri Spark by Mr. Muayyed Ahmed Lodhi (Department of Electronic Engineering, DUET) won 1st prize, 2nd position by Mr. Muhammad Danial as UniChalo (Department of Computer Systems Engineering, DUET), while Neuro Contm AI by Ms. Syed Paras Shah (Hamdard University) secured 3rd position.

The event was graced by Mr. Suleman Ahmed (Regional Director HEC, Karachi) and Ms. Maheen Salman (CEO Global Innovatrix Pvt Ltd; FPCCI Committee Convener) as Guest of Honor and Chief Guest, respectively. Both dignitaries appreciated the efforts of the participants and encouraged them to take the presented ideas / products to the commercial level.

𝐌𝐚𝐣𝐨𝐫 𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐞: 𝐃𝐔𝐄𝐓’𝐬 𝐑𝐏𝐃𝐔 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐩 𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐑𝐬 𝟐.𝟑 𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐎𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬

Research Products Development Unit (RPDU), an initiative of Dawood University of Engineering & Technology (DUET) Karachi (under the leadership of Prof Dr. Samreen Hussain S.I., T.I. (Vice Chancellor)), established at NASTP Silicon Valley Karachi, has started showing progress. A major milestone has been achieved by a startup named Epsilon Smart Solutions (ESS), working from RPDU, which received orders amounting Rs 2.3 Million. It is the result of the efforts and hard work of startup team members, supported by DUET officials.

The Vice Chancellor also congratulated ESS in a meeting, arranged by the Office of Research, Innovation & Commercialization (ORIC). The Vice Chancellor acknowledged the dedication, hard work, and entrepreneurial spirit of startup team members. She also shared valuable guidance for the successful ex*****on of the orders received and extended her best wishes for continued growth and future achievements. ESS team thanked the Vice Chancellor for their continuous support and guidance since the beginning of the startup. They also acknowledged partial financial support by Higher Education Commission (HEC) Pakistan for RPDU.
