Hi everyone, I need some legal and practical advice regarding neighborhood issues. How do you deal with individuals asking for forced payments from residents?

In our residential area (Garden View Society behind rabia city), a group of 2-3 people have self-proclaimed themselves as society representatives. They have no registered proofs, official documents, or government authority, yet they are forcing residents to pay up to 6,000 PKR. If anyone refuses, they try to restrict access to the gates.

Ours is an all-female household, so dealing with this intimidation is extremely stressful. In this era of inflation, we simply cannot afford these forced, un-audited demands.

Has anyone successfully dealt with a similar situation in Karachi? What is the proper legal channel to stop this without putting our family at risk? Any guidance would be highly appreciated.

This post is regarding the safety alert that Voice Of Customer shared about a man harassing and following women in Dolmen. I’made a video of the same man following me in Dolmen Mall.

My friend and I also noticed him following us at Tipu Sultan where he followed us from Xanders till Espresso. He had also followed my friend and I at Markitt as well where I had complained to the security. I had also attended a Bazaar at Habitt City where he was following women and I recorded his video to make sure he knows that he’s being noticed.

I have seen this man at Tipu Sultan and Dolmen Mall Clifton multiple times.

Stay alert. Stay safe.

Mother went to get herself checked from Doctor while she played with her nano and sister. Another woman who was noticing Ayesha started engaging with her and nano didn’t suspect anything. The moment she went to the counter to take medicine Ayesha was abducted by that woman and his accomplice.

Salam
My office is in phase 8 , i travel everyday from phase 8 to gulshan when coming back,

Usually i take causeway at 4:30am to iqra uni road then shahre faisal.

But causeway pe on a daily basis police stopping me asking me for money ( even i have everything, cnic , car papers , license)

1 time i told him k salary nahi hai i dont have money then he asked me a date k kab aaegi so i switched the road ab mein wapas ata hun Ittihad road se but main ittihad road pe pump k samne Tullay hotay hain , same harkat even i have everything asking me for money on a daily basis.

Ye literally BHEEK mangtay hain.

They are bhekari in uniforms.

How to avoid them ? Tung agaya hun in se.

Ittehad pe there is 1 Tulla , physique bulky and dark complexion, jo k bhikari hai.

Can i complaint somewhere online ?

There's a police maafia near Avari towers! BEWARE!

6-7 Police men are standing every weekend doing full time extortion, they are stopping families, adults and people who are travelling asking bunch of questions threatening to do FIR and trying to harm your car too.

They are making fake phone calls to someone randomly taking SHO's names and saying sir said Ap thanay ajao, gari band hogi, court Jana Hoga.

Please be vigilant from those crooks they are trying to extort and rip off innocent civilians.

They are asking weird questions like what's your caste, what you do at night

Chor, dakait pakary nahi jatay in nalaiq police walon se incompetent police and crooks.

⚠️ Safety Alert – Stay Careful Around Johar

The new underpass is unfortunately becoming another spot where snatchers are active. Honestly, Johar feels like a red zone these days.

Three of my friends/relatives have been robbed at different spots along the route between Munawwar Chowrangi Underpass to Johar Mor. This entire stretch seems to be quite vulnerable, especially around midnight and in the early morning, when these incidents appear to be more active.

Please stay alert, avoid unnecessary stops, keep your valuables out of sight, and be extra careful if you're travelling alone during these hours.
