Saudi authorities are working harder to welcome worshippers and Umrah pilgrims at Mecca’s Grand Mosque in the last ten days of Ramadan, expecting more people to visit.
The General Authority for the Care of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque has sent thousands of well-trained staff to make sure everything runs well and the place stays clean.
The mosque has lots of new carpets, 50 places for people to wash before prayers, 3,000 toilets, 15,000 containers of Zamzam water, and 150 old-style drinking fountains to help the visitors.

سعودی حکومت مکہ کی بڑی مسجد میں رمضان کے آخری دس دنوں میں عبادت گزاروں اور عمرہ زائیین کا استقبال کرنے کی کوششات میں مزید اضافہ کر رہی ہے، زائرین کی تعداد میں اضافے کی توقع کے ساتھ۔

Back in 1963, Saudia, Saudi Arabia's national airline, took a noteworthy step. They paid a visit to Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) to learn from their well-established and successful way of doing things.

PIA, founded in 1955, had quickly become a standout airline in the region. Saudia wanted to understand and adopt PIA’s efficient strategies, top-notch customer service, and overall management techniques. PIA had built a reputation for professionalism, strict safety measures, and being on time, setting a high standard for other airlines.

This exchange of knowledge was crucial. It helped Saudi Arabian Airlines enhance its services. By closely studying and implementing what they saw at PIA, Saudia began to carve out its own success story in the aviation industry.

This collaboration didn’t just help Saudia improve it also showed the importance of learning from other industries and working together for better outcomes.

OpenAI is giving us a sneak peek at what they've been working on with their new text-to-speech model called Voice Engine. They've let about 10 developers try it out so far. Even though they talked about it with reporters earlier, they've decided not to release it widely just yet.

According to a spokesperson from OpenAI, they made this decision after hearing feedback from different groups like policymakers, industry folks, teachers, and artists. Originally, they were thinking of giving the tool to up to 100 developers, but plans changed based on this feedback.

In a recent update, health officials from the government have told the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME) that Pakistani students who study medicine abroad might not be allowed to work as doctors in Pakistan if the schools they attend aren't recognized by the accreditation agencies in those countries within a certain time.
Federal Health Secretary Iftikhar Shallwani said many Pakistani students studying medicine abroad don't have their schools recognized by those countries' accreditation agencies.
These schools have been given a deadline to get accreditation from the countries they are in. If they don't meet this deadline, the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) won't accept their medical degrees.
Secretary Shallwani shared these concerns with WFME President Ricardo León-Bórquez, who promised to help the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) deal with this issue.

ان مدارس کو ان کے مقامی ملکوں سے تصدیق حاصل کرنے کا مہلت دیا گیا ہے۔ اس مہلت کے بعد، پاکستان میڈیکل اینڈ ڈینٹل کونسل (PMDC) ان کی طبی ڈگریوں کو قبول نہیں کرے گا۔

Researchers have come up with a new idea that could change how we deal with leftover wood. They made a special ink from natural parts of wood mixed with water. This ink can be used in 3D printing to make all sorts of wooden things.

Their main goal is to reduce waste by giving a green way to reuse wood leftovers. Instead of throwing away wood bits and causing pollution, this new tech lets us turn them into useful 3D-printed wood items.

To make the ink, they use lignin and cellulose nanomaterials, which make wood strong. Adding these materials to the ink not only helps the environment but also makes the printed wood stuff stronger and longer-lasting.

Just like in other parts of the world, Muslims in Pakistan also do something called Aitekaf during Ramadan, the holy month. Aitekaf happens in the last 10 days of Ramadan. It involves praying alone and thinking deeply to ask for blessings from Allah, following the example of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

Starting from the 20th day of Ramadan, men stay in mosques by themselves, while women pray a lot at home.

The word "Aitekaf" means "dedication to something and sticking with it."

After the Asr prayer on Sunday, millions of believers began their Aitekaf. Mosques all over the country have made special arrangements for men doing Aitekaf, and some mosques and kind people have arranged meals for them to eat before dawn and after sunset.

Researchers at the INRS Énergie Matériaux Télécommunications Research Centre in Canada have made a camera that's faster than any other in the world. It can take pictures at an incredible speed of 156.3 trillion frames per second (fps).
Regular slow-motion cameras on phones usually work at a few hundred frames per second. But this new camera can capture things happening in femtoseconds, which are really tiny units of time equal to quadrillionths of a second.
They used a fancy technique called compressed ultrafast photography (CUP). The system is called "swept-coded aperture real-time femtophotography" (SCARF). This camera could help make big improvements in areas like physics, biology, and materials science.
