Bodhicitta Works (Pvt.) Ltd is a film and video production company founded in 2011 by director/producer Meher Jaffri and has to its name critically acclaimed feature, short films, documentaries and music videos.
Feature films include the Belgium-Pakistani co-production, Noces (A Wedding) that premiered at the 2016 Toronto International Film Festival, and won awards at the Lumiere Awards ’17 and Margritte Awards ’18 respectively; and, the Pakistani film, Seedlings (Lamha) that won five awards at international film festivals including NYCIFF ’12, DCSAFF ’12 and the SAARC Film Festival where it was officially selected for representation by the Pakistani Government.
Short films, documentaries and music videos include narratives such as Ruckus (showcased at TED Global 2012) and The Waves (Honorable Mention, NYIFF ‘13) that were collaborations with composer and TED Fellow Usman Riaz; Dummy, Groovin in Harlem a documentary on the jazz scene in Harlem, Ishq Kinara (featuring Zoe Viccaji), Jab Koi, Beautiful and others.
Besides narrative work, the company has an extensive corporate portfolio including work with clients such as Levi’s, Wahed Invest, Mobilink, English Biscuits Manufacturers, Ogilvy, Coca Cola Co., The Crew Films, The Lyceum, Sprite, Radio 1 FM 91, Tv One and Peek Freans, to name a few.
