I’ve always been drawn to night duties. There’s something profoundly human about those quiet hours—when the world sleeps, but pain, hope, and memories remain wide awake. That’s when patients often let their guard down. They talk, not just about their illness, but about their lives—the people they’ve loved, the things they’ve lost, the dreams they still hold onto. In those tender moments, I don’t just care for them—I connect with them. And somehow, those long nights pass in the blink of an eye.
