India's democratic juggernaut has spoken, and the verdict is a resounding surprise. As the dust settles on the world's largest democratic exercise, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) finds itself scrambling to cobble together a majority, its invincibility dented.

The writing on the wall is clear: the Indian electorate has delivered a stark rebuke to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's saffron brigade, denying it the outright majority it had taken for granted. The BJP's hubris has been replaced by humility, its swagger tempered by the sobering reality of a hung parliament.

Meanwhile, the opposition INDIA alliance, led by the Indian National Congress party, has emerged as a formidable force, its tally of over 200 seats a testament to the power of unity and determination. The Congress, once written off as a relic of the past, has rediscovered its mojo, its resurgence a breath of fresh air in a political landscape dominated by the BJP's behemoth.

As the numbers continue to unfold, one thing is clear: India's democracy has delivered a stunning verdict, one that will reshape the country's political landscape for years to come. The people have spoken, and their voice is a clarion call for inclusivity, diversity, and accountability.

Political analyst and Hindi professor Apoorvanand said
conversing with the young people of all pieces of UP, and they are irate with the BJP," he added. He made sense of that this was expected for the confound between the deception of an ideal world of a Hindu country that the BJP attempted to stress, even as the truth of rising joblessness hit electors.

Rahul Gandhi, after the INDIA coalition's heavenly exhibition, said that the order today was an obvious sign that individuals of the nation would rather not PM Modi and Amit Shah to run the country.

Israel's stranglehold on Gaza tightens, as it seizes control of the Philadelphi Corridor, suffocating the enclave's last lifeline.

The IDF's relentless bombardment of Rafah leaves hundreds of thousands of civilians trapped and terrified, with no escape from the onslaught.

Egyptian TV said Israel's claims of finding tunnels and "terror targets" ring hollow, as its brutal offensive kills and maims innocent Palestinians, including women and children.

The world watches in horror as Israel's tanks roll into Rafah, unleashing a frenzy of destruction and bloodshed, with no regard for human life or dignity.

Gaza's Wellbeing Service says 53 individuals were killed in the territory and 357 harmed in the most recent 24-hour revealing period.
Furious road battling and Israeli barrage go on in Rafah a day after tanks moved into the focal point of the southern Gaza city protecting a huge number of regular people. Israeli strikes have killed somewhere around 37 Palestinians, most in tents.

Gaza's Health Ministry struggles to cope with the mounting toll of dead and injured, as Israel's military machine shows no mercy, leaving a trail of devastation in its wake.

The Philadelphi Corridor, once a slender thread of hope, is now a deadly chokehold, as Israel's grip on Gaza's borders tightens, squeezing the life out of a beleaguered population.

A devastating landslide in Papua New Guinea has buried over 2,000 people, according to the government, with the death toll feared to be much higher. The disaster struck in the early hours of Friday, catching villagers off guard as they slept.

The treacherous terrain is making it difficult for aid to reach the affected areas, dashing hopes of finding survivors. The remote site and lack of accurate population estimates have led to a variance in reported deaths, with the UN initially estimating over 670 fatalities.

The landslide has buried over 150 houses in the Maip-Mulitaka area of Enga province, with entire villages being wiped out. Rescuers have heard screams from beneath the earth, leaving families and loved ones in a state of desperation.

With each passing hour, the chances of finding survivors dwindle. The government and aid agencies are racing against time to reach the affected areas and provide assistance, but the challenging terrain and lack of resources are hindering their efforts.

The Pacific island nation is grappling with its darkest hour, as the full extent of the tragedy becomes clear. The government and international community must come together to support the affected families and communities, and work towards preventing such disasters in the future.

Russia is extending an olive branch to the Taliban, inviting them to its prestigious economic forum in St Petersburg. This marks a significant shift in Moscow's stance, as it moves to lift its ban on the Islamist movement.

Despite the Taliban being outlawed in Russia, Zamir Kabulov, a senior diplomat, revealed that President Putin has been briefed on the issue. While some questions remain, the invitation to the economic forum signals a willingness to engage with the Taliban.

Afghan leaders have traditionally shown interest in purchasing oil products, and Russia may be looking to capitalize on this. By building ties with the Taliban, Russia is likely seeking to expand its influence in the region and tap into Afghanistan's resources.

This development comes as Russia continues to assert its presence in global affairs, and its overtures to the Taliban may raise eyebrows in the international community. As the situation unfolds, it remains to be seen how Russia's relations with the Taliban will impact the wider geopolitical landscape.

"Israel's vitriolic response to the ICJ's binding order to cease its assault on Rafah is a stark reminder of its blatant disregard for human life and international law. By labeling the order 'outrageous', 'morally repugnant', and 'disgusting', Israel only serves to highlight its own culpability in perpetrating a 'tragedy beyond words' in Gaza. The UN's emergency aid chief has rightly called for an end to this 'nightmare', but Israel's refusal to acknowledge its crimes and continued denial of genocide in Gaza only perpetuates the suffering of the Palestinian people. The international community must take a stand against Israel's impunity and demand justice for the victims of its brutal aggression."
Israel killed at least 46 people, mostly children and women, on Saturday, he noted, adding, “so Netanyahu is proceeding..
