I NOTICED THE HOTEL MANAGER WAS PURPOSELY RUINING MY HONEYMOON, SO I SNUCK INTO HER ROOM TO FIGURE OUT HER MOTIVES.

About 6 months into our marriage, my husband Mike got weird. Distant. Always "at work" or "tired." We hadn't even gone on a honeymoon. So one night I snapped, opened my laptop, and booked us into the nicest oceanfront hotel I could find. I told Mike, "We're leaving Friday." He protested—work, projects, blah blah—but I didn't care. He caved.

That's when it got bizarre. At check-in, the front desk girl said we were being downgraded to a standard double room—no view, no amenities. I argued, showed the receipt, and she just shrugged like, "Can't help you." Mike stayed calm, said we'd talk to the manager.

When the manager showed up, she had this fake-sweet vibe, kept repeating, "That's our policy," with the smuggest smile I've ever seen. Something felt off. Like personal.

So... I waited. Found her room. Swiped a spare keycard from a cleaner's cart and snuck in. Empty, pristine. But then—on the desk by the window—an open notebook. Like someone had just been writing and stepped away. 👇
