The Mecca Joint Defence Agreement between Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye marks a significant development in the security landscape of the Middle East and South Asia.

The three countries together represent a major military bloc, while Pakistan’s growing defence cooperation with China and Türkiye is rapidly transforming its air power.

From the JF-17 Thunder and J-10CE to advanced missile and air-defence systems, Pakistan’s military capabilities are expanding. The potential acquisition of J-35 fifth-generation stealth fighters could further change the regional balance of power.

At the same time, Türkiye is expanding cooperation with Pakistan in aerospace, drones, training, advanced technology and next-generation fighter development, including interest in the KAAN programme.

A military pilot was forced to eject mid-flight before an F-16 crashed in Turkey.

The incident occurred in the northwestern province of Yalova during a routine training exercise. Local footage shows a heavy plume of black smoke rising from the field where the aircraft hit the ground. Turkey’s defence ministry confirmed the pilot ejected safely and survived the crash.

President Donald Trump said Wednesday the United States has "total control" over the Strait of Hormuz, calling the American naval presence there a "wall of steel." He said Iran's navy and air force are depleted, its soldiers unpaid, and its economy crippled by inflation, declaring the country "no longer" a regional power.

Three sacks, one mutilated body, and a chilling attempt to erase identity.

Police found three sacks containing human remains near a shrine in Karachi’s Malir neighborhood. The victim's fingertips and nose had been removed, apparently to prevent identification through fingerprints or facial recognition. Investigators suspect the killing may be linked to karo-kari and have contacted NADRA to attempt identification through facial recognition.

Twelve bodies have been recovered from the Muzaffargarh Canal in Kot Addu in Punjab as the search enters its third day. Rescue 1122 divers are still searching the 15-foot-deep waterway for three missing children.

The tragedy happened when an overloaded loader-rickshaw carrying 26 wedding guests plunged into the water near Sanawan. Eleven people survived the crash.

Marking a major milestone in regional connectivity, Centrum Air has officially launched its new Karachi to Tashkent route during a prestigious launch ceremony at the Karachi Marriott Hotel, attended by government officials, corporate leaders, aviation partners, and media representatives.

Starting September 3, 2026, Centrum Air will operate two weekly non-stop flights, becoming the only airline offering direct service between Karachi and Tashkent. As Centrum Air's official GSA and GHA nationwide, Gerry’s Group is managing sales, marketing, and ground support to boost travel, trade, and onward global transit.

The evening featured key addresses by Arshad Wali Muhammad (Group Director, Gerry’s Group) and Ken Marshall (Chief Operating Officer, Gerry’s International), a network presentation by Adilmirza Khalmirzaev (Head of Agent Relations, Centrum Air), and a corporate showcase with FAM trip highlights from Shahbaz Muhammad Khan (General Manager – Marketing & Business Intelligence, Gerry’s International).

Three Pakistani sailors have been killed after Houthi rebels targeted a commercial cargo vessel in the Red Sea.

The vessel, identified as the Tihamah, was struck by missiles in the strategic Bab al-Mandeb Strait while carrying food supplies. A total of six people died—including two Yemeni rescue workers hit during a follow-up strike—and ten others were wounded. Pakistan's Foreign Ministry has strongly condemned the attack, calling it a blatant violation of international law that directly threatens global maritime security.
