Babar Azam has finally ended his 2.5 years century drought, smashing a brilliant ton against Sri Lanka in the second ODI at Rawalpindi.

The National Assembly has approved amendments to the Army, Air Force, and Navy Acts following the 27th Constitutional Amendment, creating the post of Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) and new top military ranks.

COAS Asim Munir will serve as CDF for a five-year term, while the position of Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee will be abolished.

The reforms also introduce honorary ranks of Field Marshal, Marshal of the Air Force, and Admiral of the Fleet to modernize Pakistan’s military structure.

Pakistan is set to host its first-ever International Qirat Competition (IQC-2025) in Islamabad from Nov. 24 to 29, featuring over 34 Qur’an reciters from OIC member countries.

Fuel prices in Pakistan may change in the next fortnight, with petrol possibly decreasing by Rs1.96 per litre while high-speed diesel could rise by Rs9.60.

Kerosene is expected to increase by Rs8.82 and light diesel oil by Rs7.15.

Pakistan have been fined 20% of their match fee after the ICC ruled they were four overs short during the first ODI against Sri Lanka in Rawalpindi.

Captain Shaheen Afridi accepted the sanction, avoiding a formal hearing.

Supreme Court Justices Mansoor Ali Shah and Athar Minallah have resigned following the passage of the 27th Constitutional Amendment.

In his 13-page letter, Justice Shah called the amendment a “grave assault” on Pakistan’s Constitution, saying it dismantles the Supreme Court and places the judiciary under executive control.

Justice Athar Minallah, in his resignation, stated that his oath compelled him to step down, as continuing under the new circumstances would betray the principles of justice and judicial independence.

Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS) has expressed deep sorrow over the tragic drowning incident that claimed the lives of three students during a privately planned picnic at PNS Himalaya, Manora.

The university clarified that the outing was not part of the official batch picnic and will hold a condolence meeting on Friday at 9:00 a.m. in Moin Auditorium. DUHS has also directed medical teams to provide the best care to the injured students currently under treatment.
