Microsoft Shuts Down Operations in Pakistan After 25 Years
Microsoft has officially closed its operations in Pakistan after 25 years, citing a global shift to a cloud-based, partner-led business model and company-wide restructuring. The move comes amid economic and political challenges in Pakistan, which affected investor confidence.
The company will continue to serve Pakistani customers through local partners and nearby offices, ensuring uninterrupted service. The closure resulted in layoffs of a few employees involved in sales and customer support.
