Sindh Enterprise Incubation Center, Sindh Govt & SALU Faculty Join Hands to Foster Student Startups:

The Sindh Enterprise Incubation Center (SEIC) launched its ambitious "Big Entrepreneur" campaign at Shah Abdul Latif University (SALU), Khairpur, with an "Idea to Impact" Social Enterprise Awareness Workshop.

The event, held at the university's auditorium, aims to ignite a spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship among students across Sindh.
The workshop, supported by the Science & Information Technology Department of the Government of Sindh, brought together students, faculty, and industry experts for dynamic sessions on transforming ideas into viable businesses with social impact.
The Vice Chancellor of SALU, Meritorious Professor Dr. Yousuf Khushk, presided over the event. Expressing his delight, he stated, "It is a moment of happiness to see alumni of SALU talking and training our students." He highlighted the importance of internships and continuous learning, drawing a parallel to mandatory social services in Germany.
"Freedom of thought can help to have new ideas for innovative things," Dr. Khushk remarked, encouraging students to learn from diverse sources. He commended the Sindh government for its support and urged organizers to maintain the continuity of such initiatives. The VC later distributed participation certificates among the attendees.
The program featured insights from prominent entrepreneurs, including alumnus Abdul Malik Khaskheli, who spoke on linking skills to job security. Umair Jaliawala emphasized the workshop's goal of serving society through income-generating ideas.
"The 'Big Entrepreneur' campaign is a testament to our commitment to building a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem in Sindh," said Dr. Sumaiya Syed, Associate Professor and Focal Person for SEIC. "By coming directly to the campuses, we are making entrepreneurship accessible."
The campaign, which also boasts support from partners like Sapphire and the HUM Network, encouraged interested students to scan a QR code on promotional materials to register for future workshops and explore entrepreneurial opportunities.
The proceedings of the seminar were conducted by Syed Shamaila. The event was also attended by Professor Dr. Irum Rani, Dr. Hira Rani, Dr. Ali Raza Lashari, Dr Sahib Oad and other faculty members.
SEIC is an initiative by the Government of Sindh designed to provide a supportive environment for startups and entrepreneurs,offering essential resources, mentorship, and networking opportunities to help new businesses thrive.
