Should we Start with Guest Posts or Link Insertions/niche edit?

When it comes to building links, people often ask me.

Here’s what I’ve learned after working on multiple projects 👇

🔹 Niche edit come first.

Because when you place a link inside an already aged and indexed article, you’re stepping into a page that Google already trusts.

→ No crawl delays
→ No waiting period
→ No sandbox effect

Just direct relevance + authority.

🔹 Guest posts fill the gaps.

They’re powerful for:

→ Covering new topics
→ Adding fresh angles
→ Placing links where niche edit don’t fit

Both methods matter, but the order makes a big difference.

👉 Smart SEOs start with link insertions/niche edit to tap into existing authority.

😲 850k Traffic Blog? But Don’t Buy Guest Post Link from Them

Quality matters more than quantity.

Why This Matters?
Most people think big numbers= big results. WRONG!

Here’s the reality:

❌ A site with 850k traffic in just 1-2 months looks good.

but

→No quality backlinks
→No keywords ranking
→No real audience
→No conversions
→Traffic is fake (bot generated)
→Made only to sell guest posts

Such sites give you ZERO SEO value. Numbers fool non-technical buyers!

✅ On the other hand:
A 10+ years old site with 2K organic visitors is 101x better:

Because

→Real audience
→Organic growth
→Trustworthy in Google’s eyes
→Brings real authority to your site

Fake numbers can make your site look good for a while,
but it will:

Is Buying Backlinks in 2025 Still Worth It?

The Reality

If you’ve spent any time in SEO, you’ve probably been offered backlinks for a price.

Some call it risky. Others call it necessary.

The truth?
Buying backlinks can work, but only if you do it right.
In ultra-competitive niches like Tech, Business, paid links are often the only way to compete.

But buying spammy links from Fiverr or private blog networks?
That’s a shortcut to nowhere. Google either ignores them or penalizes your site.

That said, not all paid links are bad. Tactics like:
✅ Niche edits
✅ Paid guest posts
✅ Links from real, relevant sites

When done with real, relevant sites, it can move the needle.

—> Real traffic
—> Original content
—> Actual audience engagement

Even hiring a legit agency is fine, just make sure they’re doing real outreach and not cutting corners.

Also, remember:
🔹Sponsored posts (with “rel=sponsored” or “nofollow” tags) are safe
but don’t pass SEO value. So think of them more for brand exposure than rankings.

Honestly…
It’s not their fault for thinking that.
