Dr. Rahman Ullah is an accomplished academic, media professional, and researcher in the field of Journalism and Mass Communication, with over a decade of professional experience and more than nine years of teaching and research expertise. Dr. Rahman has ten years of experience working in the field with various international organizations, during which he gained expertise in radio and television production, documentary filmmaking, photography, drama writing, and production.
Currently serving as a lecturer in the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication at Kohat University of Science and Technology (KUST), He is an HEC-approved PhD supervisor and has been instrumental in teaching and mentoring students in courses such as Media Ethics, News Writing and Reporting, Research Methods, and Conflict and Peace Journalism.
Dr. Rahman’s academic contributions are equally notable, with a cumulative high-impact factor of 28.3 over the past five years. His research focuses on critical areas such as media’s role in conflict reporting, peace journalism, and the psychological impact of trauma on journalists, with his work published in prestigious journals like Digital Journalism and Science of the Total Environment.
As a seasoned trainer, he has conducted professional workshops for journalists and students on media ethics, peace journalism, trauma reporting, and media literacy.
