The Result & Prize Distribution Ceremony of the Pakistan-China Friendship Quiz and Essay Writing Competition was held at Govt. M.A.O. Graduate College, Lahore, bringing together distinguished guests, judges, faculty members, and students to celebrate the enduring bond between Pakistan and China.

The ceremony featured the recognition of outstanding participants and the presentation of prizes and shields to the winners and judges in acknowledgement of their valuable contributions.

Government M.A.O. Graduate College Lahore celebrated Independence Day with a colourful and patriotic ceremony attended by teaching and non-teaching staff.

The programme began with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Hafiz Dr. Muhammad Anwar, followed by Naat-e-Rasool (PBUH) by Dr. Naseer Ahmad, Department of Islamic Studies. Principal Prof. Dr. Asif Ali Chatha, along with the Heads of Departments, hoisted the national flag.

In the Seminar Room, Mr. Qaiser Sial, Deputy Registrar and Lecturer in Political Science, expressed his views on the significance of Independence Day. Chief Guest Dr. Amjad Magsi, Director Pakistan Study Centre, University of the Punjab, highlighted the importance of Pakistan’s independence and the responsibilities of the academic community.

In his concluding address, Prof. Dr. Asif Ali Chatha thanked the Chief Guest, speakers, faculty, and staff for their participation and appreciated the efforts of the administrative staff for making the event successful.

The ceremony concluded with a cake-cutting ceremony, followed by refreshments and breakfast.

State-of-the-Art ICT Centre Inaugurated at Govt. M.A.O. Graduate College Lahore

LAHORE, Aug 10: A state-of-the-art Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Centre was inaugurated at Govt. M.A.O. Graduate College Lahore with the support of the Tareen Education Foundation (TEF).

Mr. Jahangir Khan Tareen, Patron-in-Chief, Tareen Education Foundation, inaugurated the facility in the presence of Dr. Syed Ansar Azhar, DPI Colleges Punjab; Mr. Muhammad Rafique, Group Director Finance; Mr. Ahsan Mukhtar Malik, Director Education Colleges, Lahore Division; Mr. Akbar Khan, Coordinator, TEF; Ms. Sumaira, Focal Person, TEF; and other distinguished guests.

The ceremony was hosted by Prof. Dr. Asif Ali Chattha, Principal, Govt. M.A.O. Graduate College Lahore, along with senior college officers and faculty members.

An interactive question-and-answer session was conducted by Mr. Asim Hameed Lodhi, during which IT students engaged with Mr. Jahangir Khan Tareen and the distinguished guests. Mr. Tareen appreciated the potential of youth and emphasised the importance of education, technology and skills development.

The ICT Centre is equipped with modern computers, multimedia and sound systems, high-speed internet, video-conferencing facilities and other essential infrastructure, providing students with a modern environment for digital learning and practical skills development.

Mr. Tareen also expressed interest in facilitating a visit by a college delegation to the Tareen Education Foundation Centre in Lodhran.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, shields were presented to the Honourable Chief Guest, Mr. Jahangir Khan Tareen; Mr. Muhammad Rafique, Group Director Finance; Dr. Syed Ansar Azhar, DPI Colleges Punjab; and Mr. Ahsan Mukhtar Malik, Director Education Colleges, Lahore Division, Lahore, as a token of appreciation.

The college administration expressed its gratitude to the Tareen Education Foundation and Mr. Jahangir Khan Tareen for their valuable support in strengthening digital education and technology-based learning at the college.
