The International Day of Awareness of Food Loss and Waste, observed annually on September 29th, is a global initiative aimed at highlighting the critical issue of food loss and waste. This day serves as a reminder of the need to reduce the alarming amount of food that goes uneaten each year.

Food loss and waste not only squander valuable resources but also contribute to hunger and environmental degradation. By raising awareness about this problem, the international community seeks to encourage individuals, businesses, and governments to take concrete actions to minimize food loss and waste throughout the entire food supply chain.

Efforts on this day are focused on promoting sustainable practices, responsible consumption, and innovative solutions to ensure that food is utilized efficiently, reducing its impact on both the planet and vulnerable populations.

In the past five years, 2.75 million individuals left the country to find better job opportunities elsewhere.

Experts in immigration believe that the assumption that all the skilled and talented people have left the country is incorrect. The percentage of educated and uneducated individuals among the emigrants is equal.

Based on data from the government, approximately 400,000 people migrated abroad from Pakistan for employment in various fields during the first six months of this year. The majority of them went to Gulf countries, particularly Saudi Arabia.
