The world’s largest Markhor sculpture has been inaugurated at Shah Daoud Palace in Bata Kundi, Kaghan Valley, celebrating Pakistan’s national animal in grand form.
Designed by Engineer Muhammad Shehzad, the impressive artwork measures 105 feet in height and 38 feet in width, taking five years to complete.
The installation emphasizes the cultural, ecological, and conservation importance of the Markhor, famous for its spiral horns, agility, and endurance in mountainous terrains.
Native to Chitral, Kohistan, Kalam, Gilgit-Baltistan, Balochistan, and Azad Kashmir, the Markhor embodies Pakistan’s rich wildlife heritage.
