We are pleased to welcome Prof. Dr. Saraj Uddin Sajid, PhD, as Executive Editor of the Niazi Journal of Medical & Dental Sciences (NJMDS).

Dr. Sajid is a leading microbiologist with deep expertise in infectious diseases, molecular epidemiology, and antimicrobial drug resistance. He holds a Ph.D. in Biological Sciences with a specialization in Molecular Microbiology and is recognized for his academic excellence both nationally and internationally. He currently serves as Professor at Mohi-Ud-Din University Medical College, Mirpur AJK.

Dr. Sajid’s career includes significant contributions to research on Salmonella epidemiology, bacterial genotyping, antimicrobial resistance, and microbiological diagnostics. He is also eligible for the Diplomate American Board of Medical Microbiology and is a registered Professor of Pathology and Microbiology under PM&DC. His research work is supported by prestigious fellowships including the DAAD Award (Germany) and the Doctoral Fellowship.

Dr. Ansari is an experienced medical educationist and researcher, currently serving as Assistant Professor of Medical Education at Niazi Medical & Dental College, Sargodha. She holds an MBBS and a Master’s in Health Professions Education (MHPE) from Riphah International University, where her research explored the psychological well-being of medical students in relation to academic performance.

With past leadership experience as Head of Medical Education Departments at M. Islam Medical & Dental College and Sahara Medical College, Dr. Ansari brings a well-rounded perspective to curriculum development, academic assessment, and faculty development. She has 17 peer-reviewed publications and contributed a book chapter to New Studies in Su***de and Self-Harm (IntechOpen, 2023). Ms. Bashir is a statistics professional with a strong academic foundation and practical experience in data analysis, sampling design, and administrative support. She holds a Master’s degree in Statistics from the University of Sargodha and currently serves at Niazi Medical & Dental College, Sargodha.

Her prior roles include over five years as a Citizen Service Representative at e-Khidmat Center, where she honed her skills in data management, reporting, and public-facing services. She has also worked with the Bureau of Statistics as an Enumerator and taught at Achiever’s School System, further strengthening her communication and analytical capabilities.

Her research interests include sampling techniques, statistical inference, quality control methods, and probability theory. Ms. Aslam is a committed academic and data analyst with an M.Phil. in Statistics from the University of Agriculture, Faisalabad, and a BS (Hons) in Statistics from the University of Sargodha. With over five years of experience as Controller of Examination at Superior College, Sillanwali, she has successfully merged statistical expertise with academic administration.

Her teaching background spans multiple educational levels, and her research interests include time series analysis, multivariate analysis, sampling techniques, and inferential statistics. She is skilled in statistical tools and programming environments such as SPSS, R, and Minitab. Ms. Aslam’s applied research includes forecasting population trends using ARIMA models and exponential smoothing.
