CNN, a US-based broadcaster, has included Pakistan’s stunning Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) region in its list of 25 must-visit destinations for 2025.

Known for its awe-inspiring beauty, GB is home to some of the world’s highest peaks, including K2, the second tallest mountain globally.

The region attracts thousands of tourists and climbers annually for expeditions, trekking, paragliding, and more. Despite being challenging to access due to unreliable flight schedules and seasonal road blockages, GB offers unmatched natural beauty and adventure opportunities.

CNN describes the region as a paradise for mountaineers, featuring five out of the world’s 14 highest peaks.
